Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Roy Barboza had a passion for music at a very early age. Roy was born creatively ambitious, getting his first pair of tech-12 turntables at the age of fourteen while break dancing in the streets of Boston. He gave up his dream of being an athlete to pursue his love of music and to set out to be the best hip hop DJ in town. Yet Roy Barboza’s skills go far beyond the turntables. DJ Roy Barboza is by far the most recognizable name in Boston radio. With a decade of mixing hip hop, reggae and R&b under his belt, Roy has earned his title as the most unstoppable, most relied upon to rock a party and the most dynamic DJ in Boston.
